One task = one thing you want handled. "Review my homeowner's policy and tell me if I'm underinsured" is one task. "Audit these credit card statements and tell me what to cancel" is one task — even if we identify 14 things to cancel. "Compare these two contractor quotes" is one task.
Back-and-forth on a task you've already submitted doesn't count. Once we're working on it, we're working on it.
AI gets things mostly right but occasionally wrong — like any tool. We err on the conservative side: when stakes are high (legal action, medical decisions, financial choices over $5,000), we explicitly point you to a licensed professional rather than pretending we can replace one. For everything else — insurance reviews, contractor quotes, scammy emails, confusing letters — the AI is fast and accurate. And if any answer feels off, hit the "Escalate to a human" button and we'll review it personally.
No extra charge — it's included in your plan.
Pretty much any task that's about information, analysis, or decisions. Common ones: insurance reviews, medical bill audits, tax notice decoding, subscription audits, paperwork that needs explaining, contract reviews, "is this a scam?" checks, comparing quotes you've already gotten, drafting response letters, decoding HOA letters, Medicare paperwork for aging parents, identifying overcharges on bills.
What we don't do: source local contractors or vendors (use Angi, Thumbtack, or your state license board for that), make phone calls on your behalf, schedule in-person appointments, give legal/medical/investment advice that requires a licensed professional. We'll always tell you when something is outside our scope and point you to the right tool.

Your documents are never used to train AI models. They're encrypted in transit and at rest, scoped to your account, and never sold or shared with third parties — that's not our business model.
We use your task history only to improve your individual experience (so we remember your preferences over time). You can delete any document or your entire account at any time, and we'll permanently remove everything within 30 days.
ChatGPT is a tool. Handled is an outcome. We use the same kind of AI under the hood, but we wrap it in three things ChatGPT doesn't give you:
1. A specialist prompt tuned specifically for life admin (most people don't know how to prompt for this well). 2. Real human escalation when needed. 3. An archive that remembers your context so you don't re-explain your situation every time.
If you love prompting AI yourself, you don't need us. If you want the answer without becoming an AI expert first, that's what we sell.
No, but tasks reset on the 1st of every month. If you're consistently using fewer than your allowance, downgrade to a smaller plan — we won't mind. If you're consistently going over, upgrade. The goal is to match your actual usage, not to lock you into the wrong tier.
No catch. Pay $10, send your task, get the same quality answer subscribers get. We bet that once you see what we can do, you'll subscribe — but if you don't, you don't. We won't charge you again.

Every document is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Cloudflare's secure infrastructure with the same standards trusted by major banks and government agencies. Your files are scoped to your account — nobody else can access them.
Never sold. Never trained on.
Your data is not for sale, not now, not ever — that's not our business model. We don't use your documents to train AI models. We don't share with advertisers, brokers, or "partners." Your subscription is the only way we make money.

Want your account or data removed? Email us at hello@gettinghandled.com and we'll permanently erase everything within 30 days. We'd rather lose you cleanly than keep you reluctantly.

Handled was founded in 2026 by Josh Ledford. The idea came from watching family members spend hours on the kind of paperwork problems that an informed person could solve in minutes — insurance reviews, contractor quote comparisons, scammy-looking emails, confusing letters from the HOA. Hours of stress for stuff that shouldn't take hours.
